Dreamhealer Books 1 & 2 ~ by Adam
As many of my readers know, I've studied many healing modalities, and spent a lot on my education as 1. a Reiki Master, 2. a student of Dr. Kam Yuen learning his Yuen Energetics, and 3. studying under Dr. Eric Pearl learning his Reconnective Healing™ techniques. I have to say that in these simple, easily understandable books by Adam, all the information about energetic healing I have spent years learning, is broken down into its simplest and purest form that anyone can immediately utilize.
His first book "Dreamhealer: His Name is Adam," is more an autobiographical account written when he was only 16 years old. It outlines the discovery and development of his healing abilities as he shares his insights, thoughts, observations and wisdom about the mind/body connection in all healing.
Adam's second book Dreamhealer 2: Guide to Self-Empowerment instructs us how to tap into our own healing abilities though the use of his dramatic visualization techniques. This one simple, straightforward book can start you on the path to healing or enhance the healing modalities you currently utilize. |

Love
Is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals
by Melody
A most
comprehensive reference book on the metaphysical properties
of crystals, minerals, gems and stones along with practical
applications and preparation. A bible for crystal workers and
very readable for beginners. I would also highly recommend the
companion book, Love
Is in the Earth - Mineralogical Pictorial by the same
author, featuring full-color photographs of crystals and minerals,
it really came in handy when a local rock shop had mislabeled
their barite... I hate when that happens...

Ancient
Teachings for Beginners
by Douglas De Long This
is a book for further reading for those who care to get a
glimpse of the ancient schools as well as learn the teachings.
Now this book isn't for everyone. Especially not for people
who haven't yet grasped the fact that they chose their life
and lessons, or live in a worldly way of thought. In the wrong
hands the things taught can be dangerous.
The
introduction states that the author is a spiritual/personal
councilor, past life therapist and chakra master. You can contact
the author for more information or questions. The first chapter
introduces the reader to the different schools beginning with
Atlantis to Egypt. It talks about the school at the Sphinx then
moves on to the Lost Teachings of Jesus, the Essenes, Jewish
Kabala, Hinduism, Buddha, Persia, Greece, The Magi, The Mithraism
and Christianity and the loss of spirituality. Chapters two
through five goes into teaching you about the "Third Eye" chakra and the crown chakra. What they are, how they work and
also teaches you how to use it to read auras. Chapter six teaches
about the entire chakra system how it works, how to open them
through different meditations and techniques. The seventh chapter
teaches about Kundalini and chakra energy for healing and enlightenment.
The next chapters 8,9 go into the how to of channeling your
spirit guides, astral projection. The last two chapters 10 and
11 talk about reincarnation, and the masters last days. This
book is a good starting point for those who are interested to
begin on a path of developing their psychic abilities.

This
is a book of life lessons written with wisdom and humor from
a Native American viewpoint. Jamie [I feel like I know her]
uses her own experiences to add depth and guidance in this
illuminating read. The seven paths of human transformation
are wheels of experience reflecting the manner in which human
beings learn how to use life force. They are not linear, and
each individual embraces lessons on several paths at the same
time.[pg. 7] I found it well worth the time and will
add it to my ever-growing reference library. ~reviewed

is, this offers a excellent explanation of the phenomena...
word of warning, this is not a "How to Find a Soulmate"

This book
really started it for me back in the early 80's and its message
has proven timeless. I was lucky enough to attend a workshop

The
Impersonal Life: The Little Book in Which Elvis Found the Light:
Graceland Edition
In
honor of the 25th anniversary of King's passing, here's the
perfect tribute... a peanut butter and 'nanner samwich for the
soul. This small book was "anonymously" written in
1916 by one Joseph S. Benner and it reads like an early version
of "Conversations
With God". It is said to have been Elvis's favorite
book next to the Bible and he gave out copies to friends and
acquaintances by the score. Elvis spent much of his life in
spiritual contemplation and took to wearing both a crucifix
and a Star of David... once saying he didn't want to miss out
on heaven on a technicality. It's little wonder that his only
Grammy winning recordings were gospel songs. Rumor has it that
on that fateful night of August 16th 1977, "The King"
was reading a book on spirituality when he succumbed on the
"throne".

Born
to Be Together : Love Relationships, Astrology, and the Soul
by Terry Lamb
A cosmic
road map for your relationships, the challenges and strengths
that have drawn you together and the spiritual work and healing
to be done in this lifetime. A good book for the studious beginner
who is willing to do a little work with chart calculations and
comparision... the lazy would-be astrologer should stick with
the simple sun sign compatibilities of
Linda Goodman's Love Signs.
I would
also recommend my dog-earred copy of
Karmic Relationships by Martin Schulman, a great reference
guide to karmic and spiritual relationship aspects.
|
|

|
This book
really made the mechanics of astrology begin to make sense to
me. The author makes astrology accessible to the beginner and
her thorough interpretations of the spiritual and karmic meanings
of planetary aspects will interest even the more advanced student.

The
Book of Runes : A Handbook for the Use of an Ancient Oracle:
The Viking Runes/Book and Rune Stones/10th Anniversary Edition
by Ralph H. Blum
Hard to
believe I've had my original copy of The Book of Runes and the
bag of rune stones for nearly 20 years now. Sure, there are
controversies over the authenticity of the symbols, but this
was the first popular set of the timeless tools of Celtic divination
in modern times. I still find mine useful in times of indecision,
and they just feel good in my hand.
